Marchbankwood Guest was probably the best Bed & Breakfast venue I have ever stayed at. Sally and her husband Alistair were just the nicest people and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this venue to anyone - so long as it doesn't make it so popular that there won't be room for us when we go again!!

I had a truly wonderful holiday at a guest house with stunning views. The warm welcome from the lovely family made me instantly feel at home. The spacious room with its huge and comfortable bed, along with spotless linen, ensured a restful sleep. The unbeatable breakfasts served with a view were a delightful start to each day. The peaceful and quiet surroundings, away from any road, provided a perfect escape. Sally, the hostess, was attentive and thoughtful, making me feel completely at ease. Despite the slight drawback of stairs leading to the guest rooms, my stay was enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this place for its exceptional amenities and a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Welcome, service, food, room all excellent- a pleasure to be there both on our journey North and on our return Nice that the proprietors offered to carry cases up to our room - not always a feature of hotels and B+B's these days. Highly recommended whilst the present owners remain in residence.
